New Pennwriters Critique Group in Northeast Philadelphia

Attention writers in northeastern Philadelphia: Pennwriters is launching a new Critique Group in your area.  Adult writers in all genres are welcome and invited to join.

Pennwriters Critique Groups are an excellent resource for improving your writing craft and networking with other local writers.

The Northeast Philadelphia Pennwriters Critique Group is Coordinated by Pennwriters member Jay Greenstein.  Here are the details:

Where: Northeast Regional Library

The meeting place is in the Northeast Regional Library, in Northeast Philadelphia, about a half mile from Cottman Ave. and US1, which is the Oxford Circle Neighborhood of Philadelphia. It’s about ten miles from Bensalem.

2228 Cottman Avenue

Philadelphia, PA 19149-1297

(Cottman Ave. & Oakland St)

When: First Saturday of every month beginning February 7, 2009.

We’ll be meeting on the first Saturday of the month from 10 AM to 1 PM, on the third floor, at the rear, by the copy machine, beginning 2/7/09.)

Parking: Library Parking Lot

The library has a parking lot, but if that’s full there’s plenty of street parking, and the Roosevelt Mall’s parking lot is just across Cottman Avenue (attend the meeting, then have lunch and do your shopping!).

To participate, bring at least 5 copies of a piece you would like to critique, maximum 5 pages (double-spaced, 12 pt font, normal margins).  All genres and writing forms are welcome.  New members are always welcome.
